Prosperity in Partnership
It was a pleasure to welcome our guests from Africa to Edinburgh today. I would like to congratulate my colleagues at the Department for Business and Tradeas well as the Mott MacDonald team, for supporting and delivering an excellent event today. It was an honour to speak alongside the excellent Professor Sean Smith, Alan Hendry and team Mott, Faisal Ghani, as well as our honoured Ministerial Guests from Zimbabwe, Ghana, Mauritius and Ethiopia.
Prosperity in Partnership - this was the mission of our vision for an inclusive, secure and prosperous energy transition for Africa.
I look forward to working with partners in the UK and Africa as to co-create the strategic partnerships that will underpin the delivery of radical transformation to Africa's critical infrastructure and economy.
Examples of some of our prior work centred on the challenges in delivering secure energy services in Africa are provided below:
1. Yield assessment of off-grid PV Systems in Nigeria
2. Automated negotiation for peer-to-peer electricity trading in local energy markets
